I have a new Motorola V170 cell phone. The screen went blank after I tried to set the backlight. I've tried everything but it won't come back on. What should I do?

One trick that often works when your cell phone starts acting up is to take the battery out and put it back in again. If that doesn't fix your problem, you can usually take your phone into one of your service provider's retail stores and have a technician take a look at it for free. If your phone is new and you haven't gotten it wet (don't lie to the tech, he'll be able to tell) they should be able to fix it or give you a new one at little or no cost.

your back light went off get under a bright light and go to setting,other,backlight on menue click on

dont know if this will help but i had the same problem with my samsung so i put a small piece of card behind the battery and its woked ok for the last 6 months........failing that go on the troubleshooting forums on the web they may be able to help
