I hope you're not planning to do comparison shopping for Minolta cameras, because Konica/Minolta is no longer in the photo business (http://konicaminolta.com/releases/2006/0119_03_01.html). Their DSLR assets have been sold to Sony and may appear under the Sony label, while the rest of their digital and film cameras have been discontinued. The remainder of their camera- and film-related products will be terminated by 2007. No new Minolta products have entered the market in over a year. The Minolta Dynax 7D DSLR used a 6.1MP CCD sensor and several cameras in the DiMAGE line (7i, 7Hi) used 5MP CCD sensors.
