No, but I was also in Egypt, in Alexandria, Cairo and Luxor. You have sometimes to be careful about what you are doing, but I liked it very much. I just booked a flight to Egypt and an Hotel in Cairo for the first 3 days. The rest of the time was self organized.

I was there during the interim period when it was part of Israel before it's return to Egypt around 1980 (about 28 years ago). It wasn't a very big town and was known for it's snorkeling and scuba mostly.
