    I'm going to take a guess at this. I doubt it's something you can call Nikon and ask, I'm not even going to try. So I searched "Nikon Camera" on Amazon and at http://www.dpreview.com The D50 comes up first at Amazon, and has the most reviews at dpreview. Nikon doesn't have many SLR models, so the SLR models probably sell more units. There are many Coolpix point and shoot models. The newish L1 came up first at Amazon, so that's probably the most popular today. However, the 5400 has the most reviews over at dpreview. Of point and shoot cameras released in the last two years, the 8800 has the most reviews.
