    Yes, but only if you have documentation of what was stolen. After all, "My suitcase and everything in it" is a little vague for people to work with.
    If you're truly worried about a particular item, fax the info about it to the office of your insurance guy or home office.
    The process is a lot easier if you're going to a foreign country, since most truly valuable items and currencies are declared upon entering.
