    Many merchant account providers require that you do have some sort of business license or at least a Tax ID number. It is possible to get one without either a business license or tax ID, however you would be better off getting the proper licenses and paying any fees before you begin. If you do not wish to get a license, there's always Paypal or Google Checkout.
