Your vehicle is covered under your auto insurance, not your homeowners policy. There are always exceptions so it would depend on what happened to your car and how it happened.

There only a few aceptions. For instance if you were mowing your grass and threw a rock through someone else's car window that would be covered on your homeowners but damage to your own car must be filed through your auto insurance.
