I have a mild case(?)of it, but I am not on meds. My doctor says as long as it isn't interfering with my life we don't need to treat it. I am a work at home grandmother, and keep my own hours, so it I'm ok. My former husband used to find it very upsetting, because it apparently kept him awake, but that was before anyone ever heard of RLS.

A hot bath or stretching (touching the toes) often helps. Eating a banana a day helps some people. Mirapex? If so, this should be pretty effective after a few weeks; it takes time to work well; the side effects for some can be interesting until your body gets used to it. If it doesn't let your doctor know because everyone is different and you may need a different dosage or dosage schedule. This is also given to Parkinson's patients and patients with other such movement disorders.

On the news last night: they have determined that anyone with this syndrome is more likely to have a stroke or heart attack. This syndrome does not cause them, it is a sign of what is to come.
