To those who have yahoo messenger, have you recently started getting spammed with your off line messages? And does anyone know how this started?

• it's more than likely spammers or bots. However if you have your profile set to public anyone doing a random search on yim and pusts in a word that would be associated with your profile can get your information that way. If you don't like it I suggeat you set your profile to private.

• You know what I've been able to deduct from all of these strangers that IM me? They've all allegedly been from Africa and looking for accomodations during a visit to the US. Oh... and all the girls have been models and all the guys are evasive about what they do. Suspicious, huh?

• yep I'd say so I get alot of offline im's from the freakin porn bots and getting sick of it already if I get one more im from someone asking if I want to see what they look like I think i'm gonna scream

• How did they manage to get on there is what I wanna know. I went on today & changed my im's only to my friends on my messenger list so I"m hoping that will put a stop to their porno areses

• Strange isn't it? Since I changed my own a couple of weeks back I haven't had any porn IMs. Must be another solution but I have no idea.
