I bought another guinea pig from my usual pet shop and there is a large scab on her side. i think it could be mites and was advised to put some treatment on her neck. i did but it looks really painful, is there anything else i can do to treat her?

    I would go back to the pet store where you got your pet from and see if there is something they can do for you, if not go and see a vet.

    Awww poor girl! I would definitely advise to take her to a vet ASAP. Don't guess at the cause of this. Go get help for her.

    i had a guinea pig with the same condition about 6 years ago,it turned out to be a fungus infection,the vet told me to use an anti fungal cream,i dont remember what she had but it was serious.

    you should take it to the vet espeacially since you have another guinea pig because the mites can spread onto your other pig and then you have two sick piggies.
