I noticed today that some of the cherry trees that bloom in winter in Vancouver have opened up this week. Does that mean spring isn't far behind?

I noticed my flowering quince has buds and my daffodils are starting to come up. I think they are confused. It seems way too early to me.

NO, it means that they will get nipped my more frost when the rest of winter comes back. We're supposed to go back up to 50°s next week, nearing 60! And last week we were -4°F lol!
