I have a 1986 ford f150 the fuel pumps run all the time with the key off i replaced the fuel pump relay still happens

    They are "Tied in Wrong"! The Relay should have a Ground, & hot feed tied to Ur Key Switch. Then a Heavier gauge wire from the Pump & another Heavy wire from Fuse Block that is Always Hot (12v.). I would say that someone at sometime replaced the Pump & mis-wired it, maybe under the truck. It could also be a bad Ignition Switch that is activating the Relay. Has it been changed or work done on the steering column as they can be adjusted??? John
