How about you resolve to volunteer at least a few days for a worthy charity. The Ronald McDonald House is almost always accepting volunteers to come and cook breakfast for families staying there who have very ill children in the hospital. You could also donate blood. That is very helpful.

Be a more positive person and not stress...

I wish to go the entire year without getting hit by a cop car. This year, while coming out of the courthouse, some dumb cop didn't look before he pulled forward from the curb, and hit me as I was walking. That kinda sucked.

Volunteer time for a charity. Do something to help someone. Try to make at least one person smile a day. Something like that.

"Spend less" and "drink less" have always been top of the list for my New Year's resolutions. You're right though, they are boring, and they never last longer than a fortnight anyway (at best). So instead, this year, my new New Year's resolution is going to be to enter more competions. You know when you complete a crossword or a sudoku or whatever, and there's something like a £100 prize, and you never send off the entry form? Well, this year, I'm going to. In reality I reckon there's more of a chance of succeeding in winning a new car, or a holiday or something, than there is ever going to be of drinking/spending less anyway. Infact, it could even be in the best interest to start drinking more and entering pub quizzes?! Happy New Year, lady fuschia! :)

How about traveling as a New Years resolution? Have a grand adventure in a far-away land...

My resolution was to live in the moment and stop overanalyzing. So far, I'm failing miserably.
