Would you act like you were okay with your best friend's boyfriend or girlfriend if you really did not like him or her or would you tell your best friend and possibly their boyfriend or girlfriend how you felt? Why?

I'd try to get along, and I wouldn't try to shove my opinion into my friend's face. Love falls onto strange places. That said, I wouldn't lie either, I'd be more like "Great that X makes you happy, that's the important bit, but unfortunately X isn't my type".

Usually, being discrete but honest lasts the longest.

If I was concerned for my friend I might tell her my feelings. I would not tell the boyfriend/girlfriend.

- Well not to treat him decently will only cause problems between you and your friend.

- Don't forget ...you can voice your concerns with your friend, but you might find your friend not having you around when she is with boyfriend. That is also the reason you want to treat the BF decently because that may leave you out in the cold. You need to accept your friends choices... :)

  Well, actually, I'm asking because I've been the girlfriend that my boyfriend's friend did not like and he thought it was a great idea to tell me that he never liked me when I broke up with my boyfriend. We're back together now, so it serves him right for opening his big yap and not being honest with me in the first place. Seriously, though, I wish he told me in the beginning if he'd told me at all. Because he waited for convenience, I lost respect... he should have not told me at all at that point.;)

life is too short to lie or waste time like that! be direct and make damn sure everyone knows how you feel i say!

- I agree. I wish one of my boyfriend's friends did that. It still bothers me to this day. He waited until I broke up with him. I hope he's happy now that we're back together. Lol. Serves him right for not being honest from the start. Thanks for your answer. :)
