The marked, rectangular areas on the left and right sides of home plate that batters must stay in while hitting. In baseball on most levels, each of the batter's boxes are 4 feet by 3 feet.
It is there for certain reasons like the batter can not be out of the batters box when he hits the ball and the pitcher can not pitch the ball untill both of the batters feet are un the batters box
in dixie youth baseball ,if a batter starts an at bat righty can he go lefty in the same at bat?
