Question

Help answer this question below.

I'm thinking of getting a new car that is fuel efficient (most likely a Japanese car) and somewhere up to $25 000 (CAD) including taxes. I personally like hatchback, but other ones are alright too. Any suggestions?

Is your first priority good gas mileage or total cost of ownership?

Prius is the best mileage (60 in town, 50 on highway).

Cost of ownership takes a number of combined factors into consideration, including gas mileage, cost of insurance, cost of repairs, rate of depreciation, etc. The 2007 car with lowest cost of ownership is a Civic.

Look into waterpowerd engines instead of looking into paticular cars.
