Why is my driver side brakepad locking up?

Could be a rusty piston in the caliper. Take the brake caliper off, clean out the piston, add some lubricant, re-assemble, and that should fix your problem.

Actually, before you do that, check to see that your brake line is not clogged or kinked. That's an easier fix.
