Sand the wood down to a fine grain so it is not rough. then take wallpaper paste and cover the chipboard with that. Then stick down your paper images and use a roller to get rid of all the air bubbles and let it dry. Buy a bottle of modge podge from a craft store and apply four layers of it to the paper with a sponge applicator allowing each layer to dry seperately before the next application. Also when applying each layer do it at 90 degrees of the previous layer. And heh presto.

How about a much simpler way of doing this. Get your scrapbooking paper and get your chipboard, what ever the size. and you can either trace the pattern then cut out the pattern and glue it with scrapping glue. Or you can glue the chipboard lay the paper on top and cut it out. When you cut it out your goingto have a seam, the easiest way of getting rid of the seam is to get a Nail file and file down the edges. What i like to do after i have it all filed down i like to take my chalk and chalk my edges. Hey e-mail me anytime i love scrapping and chipboard, I AM ADDICTED!!!!

What you do is use some acid free form of tacky glue and spread it on with a disposable sponge brush then you get all the edges and just press it on and use a popsicle stick and rub out all the bubbles.

I don't put the paper on the side. I use a nice old sharpie to color in the edges. it helps the chipboard achieve a more 3d effect
