I have a 1986 gmc with a 350 that started to knock, i think it is the rod bearings, when you pull the pan, will piston rods be loose or anything like that?

    THEY CAN BE BUT MOST LIKELY ITS THE WRIST PIN THAT HOLDS THE PISTON TO THE ROD I JUST CHANGED MY ENGINE OUT DUE TO THE SAME THING TAKE THE CAP OFF OF THE ROD AND LOOK AT THE BEARING AND SEE IF THERE IS A LINE IN IT IF SO ITS A SPUN BEARING THATS YOUR PROBLEM BUT YOU HAVE TO GET THE CRANK POLISHED AND RESIZED SO BASICALLY AN ENGINE REBUILD PLEASE RATE THIS ANSWER
