It would likely depend on his Mission President, but I am sure he would be "allowed" to do so. Whether or not he does so might depend on where he is sent and what the specific mission rules are. Actually what might be easier is if you are at his family's home when he calls, to save time and money.

I don't believe that the previous answer is wrong, but I would bet on no. It is true that it is up to his Mission President.

Unless things have changed since I was a missionary, your boyfriend won't be calling home on Easter. It is on Christmas and Mothers' Day the the missionaries can call home. Also, it was only to our homes that we could call, not girlfriends or siblings. If other were there we could talk to them, but we couldn't call anyone else. I usually sent a letter to my the various members of my family telling them what time I intended to call so that they could all be there when I did. Your boyfriend could do the same with you. ***************** "Alatea: These outdated practises are archaic - Children are in touch with parents at any time. Teenage priests included!" You may disagree with the practice, but how does that in anyway invalidate my answer? Additionally, your insistence on referring to missionaries as teenage priest shows how intentionally misleading you are. The missionaries are all adults. Most have been out of high school for at least a year. Many have a year of college under the belts. They are at the age where they are leaving home any way. Your patronizing attitude would offend any missionary you contacted.

Are you kidding me?? HA HA i know that this question is REALLY old BUT i just wanted to answer this...My boyfriend went on his mission and he called his family as well as myself on Mothers Day, and Christmas. Its really up to your missionary!!!

nope. sorry but being a girlfriend of a missionary is really hard work. i really hope you have family and friends supporting you. they dont get to ring at easter. however, if they are sent to america or south africa they can ring twice because mothers day is a different date.
