Eventually she will throw a rod but by revving to 4000 it should be revved between 1500 to 2000 , in the mean while she is putting a lot of stress on the motor in turn consumes oil (burns it up). Although look under the hood around the head gaskets, manifold, transmission bell housing and see if it is wet.

there are no signs of oil leaking from any area that I can see.We did have it in to a mechanic for other issues. He said there is a hole in the engine.I assume that could be a good assumption. But without really knowing the driver it could be her driving methods.I am using her car now but i just go about 30 miles aday to work and back.so i can keep and eye on it.
