  • Toyotas and Hondas usually don't have valve clearance. This is because they use small, compact engines. If the timing belt blows you need to replace the entire cylinder head assembly - $$$. A general rule I've heard is 100,000km for timing belt replacement on those. Check your owner's manual under Maintenance for scheduled times.
