When should the timing belt been changed on a 1993 Toyota Corolla LE?

    Toyotas and Hondas usually don't have valve clearance. This is because they use small, compact engines. If the timing belt blows you need to replace the entire cylinder head assembly - $$$.

    A general rule I've heard is 100,000km for timing belt replacement on those. Check your owner's manual under Maintenance for scheduled times.
