  • No. America didn't enter the war because Germany invaded Russia, we entered the war because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.
  • If Nazis had not invaded Russia, Russia would have invaded Germany. It was inevitable. However without undertaking a massive invasion to the depths of Asia (which was practically suicide), Germany would probably be able to control Western Europe, Poland and Hungary for a long time.
  • The American involvement in World War II hastened its inevitable end. Germany would not have won and so the Third Reich would not have lived for 1,000 years.
  • Not really tbh, Germany's invasion of Russia was it's downfall for more reasons than just America's entry. War between Russia and Germany would have happened eventually, yes, but Germany overstretched herself at a critical time. I'm not sure about the third Reich living on for 100o years, but Russsia was definitely instrumental in winning the war (I'm sorry to have to say it, but she was just as important if not more important!) The D Day landings may not have happened if it hadn't been for Russians holding off 150 German divisions.
