Thanks! That's the only thing I could find also. I was kinda hoping for more history on it. It doesn't really say why people started saying it.
When a person gets amusement without a serious purpose,
he hangs his head, kicks the ground and giggles. It is part of natural psyche of humans. No history for it can be traced out.
Thanks! Someone my hubby works with never heard the phrase, and my hubby emailed me asking about where it came from.
