If the military recruiting standards are falling, why do they STILL exclude anyone with asthma, even if they'd otherwise be a supreme asset to the chosen branch of the military?

    Fitness reasons.
    They can not expect an asthmatic person to run 100KM with a 25KG sack on there back like they can with none asthmatic people.

    They need soldiers. Not desk clerks. His fellow soldiers need to be able to depend on him for their lives in any situation. An asthma attack would leave them all vulnerable. Not good soldier material.
