I have a 2000 chevy s10.138,000mi. overheats on hot summer days.cool days ok replaced water pump,thermostat,fan clutch.flushed engine and rad.rad one year old.fuel pump 2 years.now that its cold temp. is perfect.now! its getting harder to start.runs grate

dont you love american cars that break down more easily than other foreign cars? j/k. Anyways, did you try the battery? could be low on voltage. Could be the starter or bad ground. check these three

check the belt tension. if it isnt tight enough the belt is slipping on the water pump pulley causing overheating. the automatic tenioner will have an indicator and an acceptable range marker. the pointer needs to be within this range or the tension will not be right.
