I don't think the US will attack Iran without some SERIOUS provocation anytime soon. Our leaders might be a big egotistical, but we are deeply in debt and tied up way too deeply in Iraq. The US people are already extremely displeased with this situation. To open a new front that is as large as Iran would be political disaster for the government. I don't think there will be an attack on Iran unless Iran did something so bad that there was unanimous desire to retaliate against Iran by all major powers.

I think it highly unlikely with the 2003 findings that were brought out in the media only this year. There is no reason to attack and no support world wide.It would be a big mistake and the White House needs to realize this.

In the book The Iranian Time Bomb, foreign-policy expert Michael Ledeen explains how we can help the Iranian people topple the regime without an American attack. You can hear a half-hour explanation of this extremely important subject at pragerradio.com. Click on "show clips" and look for the September 12, 2007 program of that name. You can either listen to it or podcast it, both for free.

I hope not. Iran does pose danger. i don't know how to handle it, that one good reason I don't have the job to make that decision. I don't see how we could substain an action like that at this time though.

It is inevitable because the Iranian leadership will do something to provoke us. It may not be right away, but I believe it will happen. But then, that's just my opinion.

The situation is heading that way, if Israel doesn't handle the situation first, then we will have to step in and help them anyway, and the involvement of the Bolsheviks in Russia is anyones guess at this point. Putin is trying to take things bavck to the cold war and the new independence debate in Kosovo is not making things any warmer between the US and Russia. Bottom line is that Russia cannot be trusted for sure and we need to not be left with our guard down when they decide to flip positions or outright attack. You nenver know what you will get from the Russians.

No, in fact it's almost impossible. Do some research on the subject, the Iranians have some rather interesting missiles sold to them by the russians that we have no defense for. They would attack any aircraft carriers (or any other ship) in the area, destroying them. We would need these weapons since a ground invasion would be almost impossible without air support and the like. I'm not saying this would stop an invasion, but it would most definitely cause some big problems. Besides that, attacking Iran would literally cause the crash of the dollar, $300+ a barrel oil prices, and a global depression. An attacks not going to happen.

Possibly but it would be a foolish move indeed. As a clever chap once said "avoid a war on two fronts if at all possible". Well we still have two fronts that are not yet "won" in this "war on terror". opening up a third would be sheer madness. Not to mention the economic consequences etc. If the USA did attack, given the current situation, there would be hell to pay.

Man, I hope not. And I don't think they will. Approval rate is already low enough. Eventually you reach a point where the people just stop paying taxes and stop listening to the government. What're they going to do, jail us all? I think not. War with Iran would be just stupid. Now, goading Israel into war then "lending support" would be more our style.
