Question

Help answer this question below.

I need to find a good priced, long term rental in Colombia. Preferably Cartagena, Baranquillo or Santa Marta, but Bogota and Medellin would also be okay. Can anyone direct me to a good resource? A personal contact would be best, but anything will help.

This is a bad time to find an apartment in Santa Marta it is the peak tourist season look to spend about 250 for Santa Marta and 150 for Taganga. also you're gonna need a colombian to sign for the property for you as a co-signer. The best way to do it is to use your feet when you get there go around and talk to the property owners. Sometimes you can find someone who is will to rent with out a cosigner but expect to pay 3 mo rent up front and pay a little more than the going rate.

Also you can try poorbuthappy.com/colombia. It's a forum for foreigners living in different parts of the world.

    Hope that helps. :)

Check out MySpace for people who live there. It's always a great first hand resource.

I will be going to Bogota & Baranquilla in February!
