Since there is only one company currently producing amphibious motorhomes that I am aware of (http://www.terrawind.com/) and their product falls into the luxury and of the market, sales are limited. Any vehicle that starts at $850,000, running well over a million with all the options, has a limited number of potential buyers. Amphibious vehicles come at a premium, so a conventional motorhome with comparable features and appointments can be had for less.

I am somewhat skeptical about amphibious motor vehicles, having ridden in several over the years. They come in two flavours: boats with wheels and waterproofed automobiles. An amphibious motorhome falls into the latter category. These cannot be confused with boats and they are more a novelty than anything else. Most are not particularly seaworthy, cannot travel very quickly on water, and are often prone to leaks. Sure, they might save you a short ferry ride, but I wouldn't go on the water with one if there was any chop.
