  • I believe because the fabric can stretch. I can wear stuff too that's smaller than my waist. Maybe some articles of clothing are built that way, to cater to more people. Otherwise, no one would buy them. But I suggest you measure yourself again, or ask a friend to do it for you. A little double checking wouldn't hurt.

  • 35 and 28 are no way closer.May be you slipped some where while measuring.BTW,the fitting varied from brand to brand.Get a pair of moustache jeans.If your waist is 32,it's 30 size will be well fitted on the other hand go for a pair of Levis or Flying machine,you may need 34. . I can tell you one thing with assurance.No fabric can stretch 7 inches until and unless it's made out of rubber.Get the measurement done correct.
