I have heard when you d/l songs to your ipod from another computer when you go to another computer after that it deletes the songs that were d/led before is this true?> What are the pros and cons of an ipod?

Think outside the box.
There are many excellent alternatives to the IPOD, check out Archos, they've got some of the best AV players in the market and their units have no restrictions whatsoever.
