  • Baked stuffed shrimp, asparagus spears, and a huge baked potato.
  • We make up our own buffet with all sorts of goodies. Cheese, crackers, sausage rolls, meatballs etc.
  • We fix Spaghetti and sausage and peppers - the green and red peppers make it festive and we'll use spinach noodles for the green in spaghetti
  • We go to my mother-in-law's for Christmas Eve and the house is full of family and friends. Everyone brings food, so there is a LOT to choose from. There is always a turkey and a ham, as well cold meats and cheese, many dips, platters of cheese chunks and pepperoni, cookies, candies, chips, potato and macaroni salads, crock pots full of beans, potatoes, BBQ, green beans, etc. The party starts at about 1:00pm and we just graze our way through the day. :)
  • On Christmas eve we eat fast food a lot. Christmas day is when we feast.
  • Usually a vegetarian turkey loaf with all the usual trimmings such as stuffing,mashed potatoes,vegetables,pies etc. Sometimes we will even invite the turkey to join the meal.
  • I always cook a unsmoked gammon i normally boil it and we have it cold with potatoe salad and pasta salad :)
  • Im not having a fancy meal on Christmas eve this year because i need to save money but sometimes i have fish on Christmas eve. Gravelaxe I often have which is what people eat in norway for christmas eve and its thin strips of raw fish chemically cooked in lemonjuice dill and spices.
  • One year me and my wife were alone no kids, and we decided to order Dominos Pizza and watch A Christmas Story on TBS. Now we have three kids between 13 and 2 yrs and we kept on that tradition. We eat Dominos and watch A Christmas Story every Christmas Eve.
  • We often get a duck, and make Chinese style pancakes.
  • When my son is home we have pot pies. He thinks it is a family tradition. (we were just broke when he was a kid and that was what we could afford) We don't really do anything special for Christmas eve dinner. It is something different every year.
