No, it means that from that date on, a hearing will be convened to see how the prisoner has been behaving and whether his/her release can be justified. Parole (from the French for "word" ie word of honour) is only a provisional release. If you break your parole (word), you are returned to prison.

Maybe on a county sentence but not a state one if they do get the parole it is months past that date before release
