I think the part that is seen as inhumane is the fact that a person knows exactly what is about to happen, a dog doesn't. Many people believe the death penalty, regardless of the means of delivery, to be inhumane for this very reason.
death by FUN! Or You treated others inhumanly why should you be treated better? Sickening how ridiculous some laws are
I am opposed to the death penalty for several reasons. The primary reason is this: false convictions. Our justice system makes too many hasty decisions that send the wrong people off to be killed or spend life in jail. The death penalty is absolutely irreversible at this point. Until we have a system to be 100% confident that someone is guilty and cannot be reformed or be of any use to society, I think the death penalty is wrong.
Look at the Innocence Project (http://www.innocenceproject.org/). In Texas, 29 people have been exonerated based on new evidence. Many of these people had served a decade or two of jail time before being freed. Imagine what would have happened had they been slayed.
It would never happen, but I feel that the death should come in the same form that the murder was committed.
Once the dogs and cats start to complain, the whole issue will be up for discussion. It's just another subject that divides peoples sensibilities.
Do you support Capital Punishment?

You're reading Death penalty question......some states feel that the way a person is put to death (by lethal injestion) is inhumane and should be abolished. If a vet can painlessly and quickly (like 15 seconds) euthanize a 175 # dog why not use the same stuff on humans?

Disagree..there have been "X" # of botched lethal injections and those plus the time it takes for the 3 drugs to work is what's seen as inhumane. Again I ask, why not use what we use on dogs?
