Do any of you REALLY turn off your cell phones when riding an airplane? I sure don't!

You silly person! Don't you know that it messes with a plane's navigational systems???!?!??! ;-) I don't. I just put it on silent and hide it.

The last thing i need is for some stupid federal rules to be true. I turn it off. I know for sure the first time I don't my plane will crash.

If the cell phones actually interferred with the navigation of the plane...they would not even allow anyone to have one on them when in the plane. They know people don't turn them off. I think they just don't want to put up with the ringing phones and all the talk on them because there would be so many complaints from other passengers.

Yes for one it can interfere with the Navigation of the plane. And if they find out you have it on once the plane lands you can get in some serious trouble

Crashing planes is one thing I don't want to mess with. So whether or not the use of cell phones can impair the navigation equipment on a plane, I think I'll hedge my bets and turn it off. Better safe than sorry!

Yes. It CAN cause the ship's navigation systems to malfunction, so don't kid yourself. What reason do you have to keep it on? You can't make or receive calls while in the air. Just turn it off. Better safe than sorry.
