  • Laminate flooring will expand and contract due to temperature. That is why when you put down a laminate floor your supposed to leave a gap at every wall and never nail it down. Often when laminate pops up its because its expanded and has no place to go except up. I would check all the edges where it goes against the wall to be sure you have enough room for expansion and contraction, I would also be sure that it isn't nailed down.
  • If you can find out what brand of laminate you have, contact the manufacturer, they will often have a set of instructions on replacing a single plank of the floor. These are usually not available on the web site, but they will fax or mail you a copy.
