I think what Rush Limbaugh spews forth is a sow's ear disguised as a silk purse.
He's an arrogant rich white man who's alliance is with major corporations that rape the land and care little for the future of the planet.
Rush is all about Rush and make no mistake about it. He cares not for you or yours. He sleeps with the Enrons, Exxons, and Worldcoms of this world.
As a result, he has tons of sponsors! It's the guys who don't lay down with the corporations that you don't hear on prime time radio, and I find it amazing that more people don't stop to ask themselves why that might be.
He's a very dangerous man. A true propaganda wizard and spin doctor, extraordinaire.

He is quite right. We cannot hurt the planet. We can only hurt ourselves, out children, and grandchildren to the nth generation. As far as the planet is concerned, we are one of those occasional disasters that come along, like meteor strikes and mega-volcanoes. A fe million years - nothing in the plane's life - will see our damage repaired.
Of course, that is the planet's view. Limbaugh obvously does not regard war and starvation as important. The planet is OK, human suffering is unimportant.

I find myself listening to Rush from time to time. Only to be made aware of his near sighted comments on things like the environment. Now I'm sure if a oil tanker were to run aground on the reef off shore of his beach front home in Florida. And millions of barrels of oil were to ruin the beautiful beach outside is tiled Lanai. He would find a way of blaming the liberals, even if the captain and first mate were registered conservatives. It's funny how he can turn a frown, upside down.

I believe we can and have hurt this planet. There are lakes and rivers I know I can't swim in or fish in. Our rain forests are dying and many species of animals are endangered or plain gone due to our conduct. You would have to be blind to reality or just an idiot to state such a thing.

Right now, I think he's right. Sure, we can kill off a heck of a lot of nature. However, if we were to detonate all the nuclear weapons in the world and kill everything on the surface of the Earth, in no time at all, creatures would repopulate the planet and in a million years, there'd be very few traces of humanity.
If the Earth was an apple,l the deepest whole we've ever made would not have gone through the skin. The planet is huge and tough. We can't touch it.
However, we can destroy the environment.

we went through not one but many Ice ages and the warming periods after the ice ages well before man invited the first green house gas emitting machine! Look at it this way your ass emits green gas maybe we should be outlawed peoples asses too! Oh and no more steak cause cows emit Green house gasses and unless we can staple there asses shut we will never get rid of greenhouse gases! Global Warming's only goal is to scare people out of their Freedom!
