I just saw that there is a town called Liberal Kansas. Isn't that a bit of an oxy-moron?

    I've been through Liberal many times and was always curious about the name. Turns out early settlers in that area provided free water to thirsty travelers passing through, and in the usage of the time, people would say, "thanks, that's very liberal of you."
