Question

Help answer this question below.

We just got wireless internet yesterday. We want to put the software on our 15yr old's computer and have it be a surprise, but he put a password on his puter. Any ideas on how to get the password w/o giving the surprise away?

I would strongly suggest that you avoid going onto his computer if he's put a password on it. I know your intentions are really good, but maybe there's another way to achieve the same surprise e.g. leaving a message for him to find, etc?

In my [admittedly limited] experience of 15 year old boys, they get into all kinds of things their parents would rather not know about. Some of which are perfectly normal and which they should be allowed privacy for e.g. he could have pictures of naked girls and would probably die of embarrassment if you saw them.

    It's like going into his diary in a way - I don't think it's a good idea.

if it's a PC....cut it on and hold F8 and then boot it into safe mode and there should be an unprotected acount called administrator... add it to that account and it will effect all the accounts....
