You're reading I apologize for the vulgarity, but does having anal sex during pregnancy (or anytime, I guess) help in the prevention of hemorrhoids? I've never heard anything like this, but maybe b'cuz it's such a "taboo" subject.

So far, I don't have hemorrhoids, never have, but I am almost 8 months pregnant and the Dr. says I'll probably get them because of how common they are during pregnancy.
I was just trying to use correlation, in the fact that, hemorrhoids come about from straining to go poop... so I thought, if I'm "looser" (not all the time, but anal is easier now after a year of experience vs. how tight, painful, and difficult it was the first time), maybe I wouldn't strain as much... so maybe my chances of getting them would be lower.
I don't know if that makes sense, but if there is proven info stating anal can cause hemorrhoids, then I'm WAY wrong.

I see your working - the logic is there but you are using wrong information for it. In terms of sex and the anal canal being looser, it's the sphincter that you need to practice relaxing that makes the experience get easier with time. However, in terms of straining on the toilet, it's the abdominals and deeper muscles further up the canal that you are using, as the stools are stored higher up in the rectum rather than the anus. So, being looser around the anal canal wouldn't help, since it's the rectum further up that is still being strained. Glad you enjoy anal sex now though.
