• yeah...just like standing next to someone gay means you'll "catch it." and if you're blond and stand next to someone brunette, your hair will turn brown, too!
  sheesh! some of the silly crap people come up with! I sometimes wonder if they've suffered blunt head trauma! someone posted a question about a grandma or mother-in-law who got upset when their grandson painted his toenails...because in doing so, he'd now grow up gay! those people need a thump in the head!

• lol..shhhh!! I'm naturally a dark, dirty blonde....but starting dying my hair red almost 20 years ago when I started turning gray (yeah...turning gray in your early 20s when your mom isn't gray yet is really great!)

• that's not right! early 20s? damn. my much older sister told me when i was about 20 to stop dying my hair already cuz i'd have to do it all the time soon enough... luckily, i think i got that group of genes from my mom's side. i found a single, very white hair right on the top of my head, but that is all for now. kinda funny placement, i think.

• uhh...fuschia? yeah, OK! LOL! I prefer human colors! red isn't my natural color, but I'm very fair-skinned, and I use light auburn which goes with my skin tone.

• human colors?! that's a new one. hehe. well, i had to try and push the fushia mop top. i have had my hair many, many colors & that was is still my favorite of all time. although, i *did* listen to my sister. this is the longest i've had my natural hair color since 7th grade! lol

• LOL..well, what I mean is real, natural colors as opposed to colors like fuschia, blue, green. From my senior year of high school for 2-4 years or so I used to highlight my dull blonde...but it looked so fake. and I hate my natural color...it's so dingy. that's why I tried red. with my pale skin, some people who didn't know me then think it IS my natural color.

• heh. i knew what you meant. oh, and i have a friend that rocks the red mop top & with her skin tone, it looks pretty damn natural. i met her post-redhead, so i wouldn't have known otherwise if she hadn't told me. anyhow, some artificially imposed colors just look bad cuz they don't work with the skin tones - regardless of whether or not some humans have those same shades naturally.
