  • Usually the more money a shoe costs, the longer it lasts because of better materials. I have a pair of $180 Nike Shox, which I love because of their performance and feel, and I also have a $50 pair of Sketchers running shoes. I have had both for a few years, and their are no signs of wear in either. Maybe just the particular shoe, but the Sketchers had a tendency to rub my lower ankle, and are not as comfortable. I prefer using my Shox while running. I do buy cheaper shoes for my children because they outgrow them so fast, but most seem to fall apart before they need the next size. Hope that helps!
