How do your local weather persons predict the weather up to one week ahead? How often are they wrong?

using sattelite imagery/knowledge of how weather works/best guess. i assume how often they re wrong depends on how good they are at their job.

they are often wrong..but we live in the Pacific Northwest where huge Pacific storms approach from the sea and it seems to be difficult to determine where landfall will be.
