The freezing isn't too bad, though you will lose a bit of the dying ability but NEVER place it in the microwave. It doesn't need that kind of heat. Just pull it out and let it thaw out at room temps. It will warm up quickly and then as soon as it's thawed you can use it. I freeze right in carrot bags and then I'm ready to go immediately. Just clip the tip and go:-)

And don't keep it frozen for long because it's peak dying ability will really go downhill quickly.

    YES!

I have been a part time henna artist for AWHILE. Microwaves are evil to henna. Freezing wont hurt it, but you need to let it thaw on its own. It will kill the dye to nuke it.

Not a good idea. If you need to store henna, put it in a heavy-duty plastic container (henna will leak dye through ziploc bags) and keep it in the fridge. The dye will become less and less potent, but it is better than zapping it in the microwave.

To make it thaw faster, put it in ziploc bags and flatten them as much as poss, and then wrap the bags in foil or place in a flat container before freezing. If you're really impatient, thaw the bag in warm, not hot, water.
