After driving my 1993 Buick LeSabre, it gives off a scalding water smell. No red light comes on to indicate overheating though. And there is coolant in my reservoir to the appropriate level. What's wrong?

It's a cheap possibility and you can do it yourself, pick up a new thermostat and stay as close as possible to the factory spec(for temperature), this can solve the problem, while you're at it, if you haven't had your coolant system flushed in the past five years pay somebody to do that for you. Usually about $100 job.

If there is no light coming on, and there are no over heating issues, dont worry.
