Hi... like you ever since last year or so I have had extremely oily skin. I've poured over research and have tried lots of methods. Oily skin can't be prevented or stopped :( only reduced and, rather plainly, mopped up. Here are the best possible steps I know to help you. - Your skins ph is probably imbalanced, so try something to rebalance this acid/alkaline occurance such as Burts Bees garden tomato face soap for oily/troubled skin. the tomato helps. - Next, moisturize lightly. There is a big differnce between oil and moisturization. your skin can actually be lacking in moisture, so your oil glands may go into overdrive. -Apply a primer to reduce shine and oil. I LOVE philosophy Never Let Them See You Shine oil and shine reducing primer. This reduces oil and shine up to 55% and decreases sebum up to 49%. Sebum is the actual oil that is created deep in the second layer of your skin and is pushed up. It cannot be decreased but the primer can create a barrier between your skin and makeup so oil does not show. - Purchase oil blotting sheets from sephora or clean & clear. - Mineral foundation! Apply lightly. Hope this helps you!
