He didn't just point out that he had used them. He asked: "Did he sell them to anyone?" He was attempting to suggest Obama was a drug dealer. That was dirty. The Hillary campaign is getting a bit desperate.

I think there needs to be a statute of limitations on such things. Trying to discredit a 46-year-old candidate by pointing out what (s)he did at 16 doesn't seem right to me. We were all young & stupid once. Just don't ask me what the "right" age is to start counting things like that - 18? 21? 26? 36?
-
It's in Mr. Obama's past and he has not hidden it. I think it was wrong to bring it up now.

Seems extra stupid given Bill Clinton's past. I think it's dirty politics and harmful to the Democrats. Regardless of who wins the nomination, the candidate has to be strong for them to win the White House. If the Clinton campaign succeeds in cutting Senator Obama down too far, then he won't be willing or able to help the party as a VP. Same thing for the Obama campaign in dealing with Senator Clinton. It's dirty politics and it's stupid. If Senator Clinton wants to get tough, let's see her challenge the President. And make something happen.

Let someone accuse Hillary of ANYTHING and she will unlease the hounds. Anybody that doesn't see her for who she is, deserves her. Any other candidate will let you hold your head high...

the truth is the first thing that always gets smeared and grubbied so why should anything else be of limits ...lol and who gives a f*ck if he used 20 or more years ago and anyone who says they haven't done something... some may call wrong in their early lives is either a saint or a bloody liar and Clinton thinks she better because all she did was cheated on money matters and do shady deals ...lol...oh f*cking please!!

I don't know anything about this, but I think that so what? Barack himself admits his drug use, which I think is great. America lacks leaders with honest opinions that are based off experience; and even more important ones that can truthfully say it to the world.

first of all, I think it goes without saying that these days, most of the people in our age range have more than likely tried something at one time or another (I only drink sometimes and used to smoke...no drugs). so, I'm thinking...so what? is it like they are still doing it? I've grown quite weary over the years since I 1st registered to vote all the childish mud-slinging that has and still does go on....and not just by one party. it was dirty politics...but, isn't everyone guilty of that in most campaigns? I don't see why he should have resigned....

This is what makes today's politics so tiresome. They bring up stuff like this, and they should know better...It's similar to the "push polling" that they do over the phone, where they try to depress turn out and run up the negatives for the opposition by bringing up scandalous stuff, most of it rumor and innuendo. In this instance, common sense should have told Shaheen to 'zip it', because I really think most Americans don't give a toss about their future leaders's drug use. Unless they go to great lengths to squelch information, like Bush and Cheney did about their respective drunken driving arrests. But Obama was upfront about it, he did what a leader should do and disclosed first...He and Mrs. Clinton better learn to stop tearing each other down, they're going to damage whomever ends up getting the nomination.

Well they could afford to take the moral High ground "after all Bill did not inhale"

Don't see the big deal. He admitted he was a junkie.

Although I don't agree with a single thing Obama campaigns on nor am I a liberal by any stretch of the imagination. So I will say this, Obama was a teenager and what does this have to do with today and his bid for the presidency. This is such B/S and petty, we have all done stupid things as a teenager. Now the media and Clinton's campaign personal find the righteous attitude to call Obama on this...please. Clinton's the both of them MO is when you loose on issues...play dirty. I think Obama is a honest man and trust worthy, even if he is a lefty, he is far better and honorable than a Clinton.
