I found out I'm pregnant BUT the hormone isn't as high as they'd like it to be and that I may have a miscarriage! Has anybody out there gone thru this type of situation, and if so what was the outcome?? I really want this baby!

My sister has this problem. It has happened to her with every one of her pregnancies. The doctors ended up giving her daily shots of progestrine (sp?) so that she would be able to keep the babies. She has three beautiful children. Talk to your doctor about things that you can do. Good luck.

As long as your hormone level continues to go up no matter how slowly there is a good chance things will be fine. My doctor to;d me that this is more comman then what you would think. They do have shots and all kinds of thing to help with this problem. My advise is pay attention to your body. I had this same problem. Unfortaintly my levels started going down and I had a miscarrage but my doctor told me this was a very cooman problem and more times then not everything works out fine. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you

This happened to me in 2005, my first pregnancy.

I was on Depo and didn't have periods, so the hormone level was the only thing they could go by.

Unfortunately, I had the tiniest bit of spotting (only when I wiped, not on my underwear), so I went to the ER and told them what the levels were at the doctor and they said my levels were lower than that.

I lost my baby, but I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant now. I'm not Christian/Catholic or anything, but I do feel like things happen for a reason!

The more you worry and dwell on it the higher your risk will be. You have to force yourself to act like you didn't hear. Take your prenatal vitamins like your supposed to and that can help. My first pregnancy was a miscarriage. You can do this!

Which hormone is low? I did result in a miscarriage my last pregnancy, but my progesterone had been low, and the doctor had me doing a progesterone cream daily. I also had to have bloodwork monitored more often. Your OB should go over what the results mean, and what the options are, with you.
