  • The SOPRANO Uke is the smallest size in the Uke category. It is tuned to G-C-E-A. The next "size" up is the CONCERT, next size up is the TENOR, and the largest size Uke is the BARITONE which is tuned like the first four open strings of the guitar E-B-G-D. The most widely sold is the SOPRANO. Many teachers of music to young children like to use the BARITONE Uke because is a good way to later on introduce the guitar since the two extra strings on the guitar (A & E)will be easier to "Pick-Up" once the children know how to play chords (and melodies) and the Baritone Uke.
  • What's the difference between a soprano uke and a concert uke - they seem to be the same size, at least when I look at a Stagg US80 vs. UC80.
