I am an american citizen. My jamaican girlfriend and i would like to get married, and we wanted to know how to go about that process. Would she become a citizen and be able to remain in the united states indefinitly?

    My roommate married a man from Jamaica. She went to Jamaica and married him. It took about a year and a half after they got married for her to get him over here. Once he got here, he could stay as long as they were married, unless he became a citizen. In that case, he could stay even if they got divorced. Good luck and congratulations.
